Dale J. Burnett

Dale Joseph Burnett, a former Camas resident, died Oct. 19, 1993, at Emanuel Hospital in Portland following an automobile accident in Vancouver.  He was 23.

Burnett was born Aug. 11, 1970,in Osage, Iowa, and had lived in the Camas and Vancouver area since 1980.  A 1988 graduate of Camas High School, he was a foundation specialist foreman for Empire Concrete of Vancouver.  In addition, Burnett was a charter member 98 of Hazel Dell Lodge 2764 of the BPOE.  For other activities, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, trap shooting, country music, wood-working and making custom gun stocks.

He is survived by his parents, Dick and Louise Burnett of Vancouver; sisters, Regina Anhorn of Beaverton, Ore., and Rochelle Moss of Camas; special friend, Kelly Simms and her daughter, Slone, of Washougal; and grandparents, Edith Burnett of Osage, Iowa, and Lloyd and Lavelva Michael of Rudd, Iowa.

His funeral was held Saturday at Straub’s Funeral Home in Camas.  Burial was at Fern Prairie Cemetery.  Straub’s Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
