Rita Mae Cavitt

Rita Mae Cavitt, a 12 year resident of Vancouver, died here Tuesday.  She was 78.  Mrs. Cavitt was born March 12, 1900, in Proebstel.  She lived at 1015 N. Garrison.  A retired maid, Mrs. Cavitt worked for many years at the Camas Inn.

Survivors include a sister, Gertrude Stone of Vancouver; three daughters, Pauline Young and Lauretta Johnson, both of Portland, and Agnes Heiser of Vancouver; 24 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home.  The Rev. Ralph Reay will officiate.  Private burial will be at Fern Prairie Cemetery.
