 James A. Claypool

A funeral will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday at Brown’s Funeral Home in Camas for James Albert Claypool, 79, who died in Vancouver Monday, March 31, 1997.

He had lived in Vancouver since 1937.

A maintenance supervisor with Alcoa, he was born Jan. 25, 1918, in Walnut Grove, MO.  Mr. Claypool was a member of Fisher’s Grange 211 and the National Rifle Association.  He loved hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Leona V., at home; one daughter, Janet V. Kays of Camas; one son, James W. of Bellevue; three brothers, Paul E. of Kelso, Marion J. of Longview and Herbert H. of Murrieta, Calif.; one sister, Nancy J. Zarr of Pleasant Hope, Mo.; and four grandchildren.

Burial will be in Fern Prairie Cemetery.
