William H. Cook

William H. Cook, 56, of 2615 NE 259th Ave., Camas (Fern Prairie district) died Sept. 10, 1981 at Yellowstone National Park.

He was born Dec. 24, 1914 at Elk City, Okla., and lived most of his life in Vancouver.  He had been a resident here for the past three years.  He was a retired Texaco service station owner.

He is survived by his wife, June at home, two sons, Roger and Anthony (Tony), both of Vancouver; a stepson, Mike Boyd of Calif.; two stepdaughters, Wanda Boyd and Kathy Stofiel, both of Vancouver; three brothers, Dudley Choate of Sunnyvale, Calif., and Eugene and Roy Cook both of Vancouver; three sisters, Viola Walker of Portland, Ore., Myrtle Roominger and Luvenia Dillon, both of Vancouver, seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 16 at 2 p.m. at Straub’s Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Stephens officiating.  Interment will follow at the Fern Prairie Cemetery.
