Obituary
Merle Davis
Services for Merle Urban Davis, 68, a former Vancouver resident who died here Monday, were held Wednesday morning at Evergreen Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Herbert Sargent officiated, and burial followed in Fern Prairie Cemetery.
Born May 23, 1907, in Salina, Kan., Mr. Davis lived the past 14 years in Sacramento, Calif. He was a retired heavy construction worker and a member of San Jose Masonic Lodge.
Mr. Davis is survived by his widow, Opal, at home; a son, Raleigh of Pleasant Hills, Calif.; a daughter, Christine Bell Gentry of Sacramento, Calif., and five grandchildren.
