Clarence E. Anderson

Clarence E. Anderson of Vancouver died Nov. 10, 1992, in Vancouver.  He was 71.

Anderson was born May 31, 1921, in Memphis, Nev., and attended school in Ashland, Nev.  He moved to Walla Walla, Wash., in 1949 and on to Camas 36 years ago.  Anderson worked for 29 years for Crown Zellerbach in Camas before retiring as a paper machine millwright in 1984.  In addition, he was a 4-H leader, a member of the Fern Prairie Grange, president of the Golden Crown Club and past President of the Southwest Washington Draft Horse Association.  Anderson also enjoyed boating, fishing, camping, playing cards, and attended St. Thomas Catholic Church in Camas and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Vancouver.

Survivors include his wife, Vivian Anderson at home in Vancouver; son Edward J. Anderson of Washougal; daughter, Prudence Lewton of Camas; brother, Carl E. Anderson of Ashland, Nev.; sister, Anna M. Hoxie of Lincoln, Nev.; and grandsons Brian, Scott, T. J. and Kevin Lewton of Camas.

His funeral was held Saturday at St. Thomas Catholic Church.  Burial was at Fern Prairie Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Lung Association, 5603 N. W. Cherry St., Vancouver, WA 98663.
