 Reuben P. Esselstrom

CAMAS – World War II Navy veteran Reuben Paul Esselstrom, 77, died Sunday, Sept. 17, 1995, in Vancouver.  A building contractor, he had been a member of the Carpenters Union of Los Angeles.

Mr. Esselstrom was born Aug. 4, 1918, in Wentworth, Wis.  He had been a member of Gateway Community Church of Washougal.

His wife, Violet G., died in 1994.

He is survived by a son, Dennis; a daughter, Diana Rodionov; three brothers, Sigurd of Whittier, Calif., Kenneth of Capistrano, Calif., Stanley of Desert Hot Springs, Calif.; two sisters, Linnea Smith of Wentworth and Runa Carlson of La Crescenta, Calif.

A funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gateway Community Church.  Brown’s Funeral Home of Camas is in charge of the arrangements.
