WASHOUGAL – A cook who had worked at the Dunes Bible Camp in Oregon Park for more thank 20 years, Virginia Irene Fryberger, 78, died Friday, Feb. 13, 2004.

Mrs. Fryberger, whose maiden name was Dailey, was born June 26, 1925, in Lunch, Nev., and moved to Camas in 1985.  Since returning to Camas she spent most weekends at Ocean Park.

Mrs. Fryberger retired from the Dunes Bible Camp in 1996.  She was a member of Gateway Community Church in Washougal and TOPS.  She enjoyed board games and gardening.

Her daughter, Linda Davis Sager, died in 1971.

Survivors include three sons, Lawrence Gilman of Washougal, Philip Davis of Vancouver and Greg Fryberger of Washougal; two step-daughters, Sheryl Warren and Debra Esquivel, both of Vancouver; one stepson, Scott Haack of Vancouver; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. 

A funeral will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Gateway Community Church.  Burial will follow in Fern Prairie Cemetery.  Viewing will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday at Straub’s’ Funeral Home.
