Clarence Webberley

CAMAS—Lifelong Camas resident Clarence Webberley died of heart failure Wednesday, March 4, 1998, in Camas.  He was 77.

Mr. Webberley was born April 30, 1920, in Portland.  An Army veteran of World War II, he worked as a carpenter for Mountain States Mineral Enterprises.

He was a member of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.  He like to travel.

Survivors include his wife Ruth, at home; four sons, Thomas White of Austin, Nev., Lonnie White and Thomas Webberley, both of Tucson, Ariz., and Leslie Webberley of Denver; five daughters, Joan Bennett of Camas, Kathleen Howard of Grangeville, Idaho, Bonnie Newitt of Olympia, Linda Willoughby of Vancouver and Elizabeth Elliott of Boise, Idaho; one brother, Joseph of Camas; 21 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Reorganized Church of Latter Day Saints in Camas.  Burial will be in fern Prairie Cemetery.

Brown’s Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
